Sandwich
Preparation for grilled tuna salad sandwich.
Ingredients (besides the bread and artificial butter):
1 can tuna
Two forkfuls mayonnaise
1 shallot, minced
Celery salt
Black pepper
Cumin to taste
Directions: Proceed as if it were a grilled cheese sandwich. If you live in Philadelphia, substitute mayonnaise for artificial butter.

I learned about the mayo when I moved here. I've never gone back to my roots.
ReplyDeleteThough I was hesitant to try it. I mean, hot mayo.
HOT MAYO.
So wrong.
But so so right.
also, my tuna recipe:
ReplyDeletetuna, mayo, fresh ground black pepper, diced apple or pear, shredded carrot, shredded cheddar cheese, diced celery or grapes.
put in what you like. don't what you don't.
it's amazing in any combination
I'll use your recipe next time. That sandwich was actually a little gross, not that you couldn't tell by the picture, or by the fact that I was grilling a tuna salad sandwich (hot canned fish and mayo, no, no no.)
ReplyDeleteI like my chicken salad grilled. In that, I don't mind hot mayo on the inside, so it should follow that I wouldn't mind it on the outside. Anyhow, I'm sure it will come up again. Is there double meaning there?
