A Conspicuous Walk to the El

This is where it started.

This was the impetus to leave.

The plants were floating.

Here was a place to rest, but it lay behind glass and electronic locks.

It is, isn't it?

Don't open this door.

It leads to a desolate stretch, and there is always the danger of feral dogs.

I found neither food nor happiness here.

These Schnausers were very tame.

I heard the train and sprinted for the El, but I was well behind, and just as I was about to give up, gasping, at the top of the stairs, a big man with a goatee stood between the doors so they couldn't close and I could board. This was the nicest gesture of the week. So I took a picture of CTA map.

Here is my couch. This is where the story ends.

Candle Shop

If the owner's name isn't actually Waxman, my disappointment would be brief but acute. For Rita, not so much so.
